Feb 8th 2025                         Arrive Cochin

Arrive Cochin International Airport. You will be met at the airport on arrival and transferred to your hotel in Fort Cochin (90 mins). Stay at your hotel in Fort Cochin for 02 nights.

Today evening enjoy a sunset cruise along the Cochin harbour to see the various activities and to see the Chinese fishing nets.

 

Feb 9th                               Cochin Sightseeing

Today we visit the sights including the Dutch Palace, with its murals from the Ramayana, the Jewish Synagogue in Mattancherry, and St Francis’ Church in Fort Cochin. Take a stroll around the Jew Street to hunt for antiques, spices and handloom before proceeding back to the hotel. This evening we enjoy Kathakali, a traditional dance-drama form of Kerala.

 

Feb 10th                           Cochin – Munnar

After breakfast, a 4 hour drive will take you to the famous tea county of Munnar. Check. Stay at your resort for 03 nights. Unending expanse of tea plantations…pristine valleys and mountains…exotic species of flora and fauna in its wild sanctuaries and forests…aroma of spice scented cool air. Set at an altitude of 6000 ft in Idukki district, situated at the confluence of three mountain streams, Munnar was the favored summer resort of the erstwhile British rulers in the colonial days. Sprawling tea plantations, picture book towns, winding lanes, trekking and holiday facilities make Munnar a unique experience.

 

Feb 11th                              Munnar

This morning, enjoy a Lockhart tea trail experience. Lockhart tea estate is situated 8 Kms away from Munnar town and will take about 30 minutes from Munnar town. You can catch stunning views of the green, carpeted tea fields as you follow the tea trail through the Lockhart Tea Estate. We offer walks lasting from 30 min to 03 - 04 hours here. During the tour, you can interact with the ladies picking tea leaves, depending on the area where they are picking (Sundays are Holiday) and you can also visit the Lockhart tea factory if interested.

 

Feb 12th                       Munnar – Periyar

After breakfast, we will drive for around 3 hours to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, South India's best kept Tiger reserve in the cardamom hills. Enjoy a spice plantation visit with a plantation expert who will lead you on a spice plantation tour. He will introduce you to different spices grown in that area such as pepper, cardamom, vanilla, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and coffee.

 

(You have the option to do elephant safari in the plantations)

 

Feb 13th                      Periyar

Morning free for own activities, shopping, massage – Yoga etc. Afternoon enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Periyar to spot herds of Wild Elephants, Bisons, Sambar Deers, Nilgir Langurs, Malabar Giant Squirrels and variety of species of birds.

Overnight stay at hotel.

 

Feb 14th                       Periyar – Kumarakom

This morning's drive is a lovely scenic route through the hills visiting tea and rubber plantations before reaching the lowlands. The journey to the Kumarakom takes about 4 hours. Kumarakom is famous for its backwater & scenic beauty, sprinkled with traditional houseboats, country crafts, rural lifestyles and Tranquility. Overnight spend in the the backwater resort.

 

Feb 15th                              Kumarakom – Alleppey Houseboat

Late morning drive to Alleppey (60 mins). Around lunchtime you will board your private houseboat for an overnight cruise through the famous Kerala Backwaters. For many people this is the highlight of their holiday.
